This blog is for art students, for students' families, and for elementary educators in Colorado.
Students can learn about the art and language of critique through viewing and writing about their peers' creations. It's also exciting to see your own art on the web!
Families have two immediate ways of seeing their children's art, as it often stays within the school for weeks to months after completion. Families can visit school with a valid ID to see the art on display in the show case, and on the many tac-boards, or they can visit this site. This is also a way for families to communicate with me about concerns, or classroom volunteer opportunities.
Educators teaching the Colorado state standards can implement these lessons (or their versions of it) in their classrooms. I also enjoy learning from others, and seeing what students are doing in other schools. Some of the richest lesson plans happen through collaboration.
