4th Grade has been rewarded for outstanding behavior. While enjoying a tasty treat of candy samples, students collaged skulls to create unique designs, inspired by Mexican sugar skulls. This sweet tooth reward came with a lesson in multi-sensual observation. Students wrote to record what they saw, tasted, smelled, and felt while making their collages.

4th Grade Colorado State Visual Arts Standard and Evidence Outcome 3.2.b- Invent and Discover to Create: Materials and processes can be used in traditional, unique and inventive ways. Students can describe observations made during the art-making process.
