Where We Come From

4th and 5th graders learned about classic landscape and cityscape artists. Landscapes and cityscapes tell us about the artist's life; where and when they lived. We learned about elements of art as we discovered how organic and geometric shapes influence our artwork to make it look more natural, or man-made. We chose settings that represent where we come from to show a setting for our life stories.

4th Grade Colorado State Visual Arts Standard and Evidence Outcome 3.2.a: Invent and Discover to Create- Materials and processes can be used in traditional, unique, and inventive ways. Students can use traditional media technologies.

5th Grade Colorado State Visual Arts Standard and Evidence Outcome 1.2.c: Observe and Learn to Comprehend- Visual Arts Communicate the Human Experience.Students can use visual information to construct personal visual narratives.
